We have yearly projects with Manos Hermanas, A.C., to provide “Christmas blankets” for families and individuals living in poverty belts in high, frigid zones of Mexico.
Manos Hermanas purchases rolls of heavy blanket material that is cut and hemmed to make family-size blankets for about $6 USD each. We have been able to distribute some 13,700 blankets since 2006 in coordination with of our network of volunteers from community development committees and other responsible organizations.
These colleagues know the local needs because they are in immediate contact with their communities across the multiple states where they serve. We all hold to the priority of providing for the elderly, the single mothers with their children, the sick, and the needy street people.
